About

Built for the teacher I used to be

Founder & lead instructor

My online teaching journey started in a random little café in the Philippines. I had no idea what I was doing, didn't have the perfect setup, and definitely didn't have some big master plan. I just knew I wanted a job that would let me travel, work on my own terms and do something I actually enjoyed. Little did I know that this would turn into a career I'd absolutely love.

Since that first lesson, I've taught from over ten countries, working from cafés, apartments, temporary homes, little park benches, and even the occasional beach or random car park. Along the way, I've gone from a complete beginner to one of the top-rated tutors on Preply. I've learnt how to attract the right students, plan lessons I feel confident teaching, and charge prices that actually reflect the value of my work. But what I love most is the amazing relationships I've built with my students. I genuinely look forward to our lessons! And of course, being able to choose my own hours, take time off whenever I want and work from pretty much anywhere is a huge bonus.

But it definitely wasn't all smooth sailing. There was a lot of trial and error, plenty of mistakes, and so many things I wish I'd known when I first started. Over the years, I've figured out what works (and what really doesn't!), from setting up a great profile and choosing the right equipment to planning lessons that students actually enjoy. That's why I created these courses. I want to share everything I've learnt along the way, so you can skip some of the guesswork, feel more confident from day one and hopefully fall in love with online teaching just as much as I have.

What I believe

A few things I've learnt along the way

01

You don't need to have it all figured out to become a great teacher.

Trust me, I certainly didn't! You don't need years of experience, a fancy setup or all the answers to get started. Teaching is something you get better at with practice, and having a bit of guidance along the way makes a huge difference.

02

It's not as scary as you think.

I know how overwhelming it can feel when you're just starting out. What if nobody books a lesson? What if you don't know what to teach? What if you make a mistake? I've been there! But once you take that first step, things start to fall into place. And with the right tools and a little preparation, it's all much more manageable than it might seem.

03

The best part of teaching is the people.

As much as I love the freedom and flexibility, it's the relationships with my students that make this job so special. Watching someone become more confident, achieve something they've been working towards, or simply enjoy our lessons is honestly one of my favourite things about teaching.

Your teaching journey could start anywhere.

Mine started in a little café. Yours might start at your kitchen table, in your bedroom or somewhere halfway around the world. You don't need to know exactly where it'll take you. You just need to give it a go.
